Delaware’s first July NASCAR Cup Series race weekend since 1969 not only brings America’s best drivers back to the Monster Mile from July 18-20 but also the potential for steamy summer temperatures.
Dover Motor Speedway’s team has fans covered if the thermometer climbs with several updates and new areas to keep cool at The World’s Fastest One-Mile Oval.
When they hit Dover this summer, fans should keep the following tips in mind:
- REMEMBER: Coolers with your favorite beverages are welcome in The Monster Mile’s grandstands. It’s easy to keep cool in Dover!
- MISTING STATIONS: 34 units around the property to cool down.
- SHADE TENTS: Large tents in the Fan Zone, behind the frontstretch grandstands, on the north and south mezzanines, and on the grass area near section 238 will be available for families to take a break and relax.
- MORE MOBILE BEVERAGE CARTS: Dover’s traditional large concession selections will be boosted with additional beverage options throughout the property.
- MORE CONCESSION LOCATIONS: It will be even more convenient for fans to grab a drink and a snack during our events with new spots.
“We’re giving fans every opportunity to keep cool this summer,” said Mike Tatoian, Dover Motor Speedway’s president and general manager. “The action is always hot on the track at the Monster Mile and in our famous Fan Zone, and we want the most loyal fans in NASCAR to be as comfortable as possible while they enjoy it all.”
